About the Recipe

Will you believe me if I tell you that you can make a Paneer Steak in an Air Fryer?
This is Level 3 of my Air Fryer Cooking Series.
It walks you through the steps of making a crispy Paneer Steak in an Air Fryer along with a luscious Makhani Sauce & some Air-Fried Greens.

Ingredients

Makhani Sauce


- Tomatoes → 400 g

- Onions → 300 g

- Cashews → 25 g

- Garlic → 15 g

- Ginger → 10 g

- Butter → 20 g

- Cream → 40 g

- Kashmiri chilli → 5 g

- Garam masala → 3 g

- Sugar → 2 g

- Salt → (to taste)

- Kasuri methi → 3 g

- Oil → 10 g


Paneer Steak


- Paneer : 250 g

- Hung curd : 40 g

- Corn flour : 10 g

- Breadcrumbs : 25 g

- Ginger Garlic paste : 6 g

- Black pepper : 1 g

- Chilli :3 g

- Salt + oil

- Mustard oil : 1 tbsp


Air-Fried Greens


- Any green leaves of choice like Spinach or Kale

- Salt



Preparation


Steps 1

Toss tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, cashews and some oil in the air fryer basket.


Steps 2

Air fry at 170°C for 10-15 mins till roasted.


Steps 3

Blend and make a smooth puree.


Steps 4

To a pan, add butter and all the spices mentioned in the ingredients list above. Stir for 20 seconds.


Steps 5

Add puree along with salt and sugar.


Steps 6

Cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes.


Steps 7

Finish with kasuri methi, garam masala, cream and butter.


Steps 8

Optionally, give some smoke using charcoal and ghee.

Your Makhani Sauce is ready!



Paneer Steak

Steps 1

Mix together oil, spices mentioned above, curd and ginger garlic paste.


Steps 2

Coat the paneer well with this marination.


Steps 3

Rest for 15 minutes.


Steps 4

Dust paneer with corn flour and breadcrumbs.


Steps 5

Air fry at 160°C for 12-15 mins. Flip every 6 mins.


Steps 6

Your Paneer Steak is ready to be served. 



Air-Fried Greens : CRISPY GREENS


Steps 1

Place the green leaves with some salt in an air fryer.


Steps 2

Air fry at 200°C for 3-5 minutes.
