About the Recipe
Momo Chutney is a super popular condiment and you can make your very own Momo Chutney at home in a few simple steps. This recipe walks you through those steps and the result will totally satisfy your tastebuds.

Ingredients
Tomatoes: 4 pcs
Dried Kashmiri Chilli: 12-15 pcs
Coriander Stem: 2 tbsp
Ginger: 1 inch
Garlic: 10-15 cloves
Salt to taste
Water: 1 litre
Oil: ⅓ cup
Onion: 1 pc
MSG/Aromat Powder: A pinch (optional)
Tomato Ketchup: 1 tbsp
Vinegar: 1 tbsp
Light Soy Sauce: 1 tbsp
Dark Soy Sauce: 1 tbsp
Chilli Powder: ½ tsp
Corn Slurry: 1 tbsp corn flour + 2 tbsp water
Preparation
Step 1
Take a wok or kadai, add roughly cut tomatoes, whole dried kashmiri red chilli, coriander stem, ginger, garlic, salt and water. Let it boil till tomatoes turn mushy.
Step 2
Remove the top part of the chillies and blend everything together.
Step 3
Take a wok or kadai, add oil, chopped onions, ginger, garlic, coriander stem and salt. Saute.
Step 4
Once onions turn translucent, add the blended paste. Cook for 5-8 mins till oil rises.
Step 5
Add MSG/Aromat Powder (optional), tomato ketchup, vinegar, light and dark soy sauce, pepper, chilli powder and some water. Also add corn slurry to thicken it and adjust the consistency.
Step 6
Let it cool, add some sesame seeds and enjoy! You can easily store it for a month in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
