About the Recipe
Especially used for making desserts and confectionery, this is a kind of sweetener that can be used in place of sugar/or with sugar. It is not too sweet and provides a structure and depth of flavour to the dishes. You may use it to make biscuits, jam, jelly, ice creams, desserts, etc.

Ingredients
Sugar: 2 cups
Water: 1 cup
Lemon Juice: 1 tbsp
Preparation
Step 1
Take a saucepot, add 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water. Boil it for 15 mins on low-medium flame or till a ball can be formed.
Step 2
Once sugar almost dissolves, add 1 tbsp lemon juice. Mix.
Step 3
Once bubbles start forming, do not mix it after that otherwise sugar will crystallise.
Step 4
Let it cool, it will thicken, store in an air-tight glass container. It’s ready to be used!
