People always complain that it's not possible to make a good restaurant-style pizza at home, but that's not true. I made this gourmet pizza from scratch at home and trust me, it tastes far better than the restaurant ones. This recipe showcases how you can make a restaurant-style Gourmet Pizza at home and what are the techniques you should follow to get the perfect crust and taste. Ingredients

Veggies of choice
Cheese
Seasonings

Preparation
Step 1
Take your pizza dough and start pressing it down from the centre working towards the edges.

Once you have a chapati-like shape, start stretching and slapping. Flatten it according to the size of the tawa/baking dish that you are using.
Step 3
Meanwhile, preheat the tawa on the flame till it starts smoking.
Step 4
Add oil on the tawa and place the pizza base on it. Immediately, apply pizza sauce, add veggies of choice, cheese and seasonings. Pour a light drizzle of olive oil over it.
Step 5
Bake it in a preheated oven at the highest temperature keeping the baking tray on the top shelf. Keep only the top rods switched on. Bake only for a few minutes till your cheese has melted. This will happen really quick. The highest my oven goes is 250C so that’s the temperature I kept.
Step 6
Once you start seeing the charring on the top, take it out, cut into slices, serve and enjoy!
Note:
1. The thicker your tawa, the more heat it will retain and it will give you better results.
2. Make sure your oven is preheated enough at a high temperature.
3. Keep your toppings handy.
