Healthy White Sauce Pasta

About the Recipe

This is an episode of me converting unhealthy food into healthy. I have made the White Sauce using Cauliflower and before you make any assumptions regarding it's taste, let me tell you, it tastes so good that you will see yourself making this version time and again.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower: 1 pc

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric Powder: A pinch

  • Milk: 1.5 cups

  • Garlic Cloves: 2-3 pc

  • Pepper

  • Oregano

  • Chilli Flakes

  • Homemade Fresh Cheese

  • Butter (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Cut cauliflower into florets. Soak them in hot water with some salt and turmeric powder for 15 minutes. Any dust or insects will start floating on top. Remove and clean the florets properly.


Step 2

Take a saucepot and boil the cauliflower florets with milk and garlic cloves for 15-20 minutes or till they become super soft.


Step 3

Now, after cooling it down, blend the boiled cauliflower mix with salt, pepper, oregano, chilli fakes, homemade fresh cheese and butter (optional).


Step 4

Toss your boiled pasta in this white sauce. Adjust the consistency with some pasta water (if required) and your White Sauce Pasta is ready.
