Roasted Tomato Soup

About the Recipe

This is a super easy Tomato Soup recipe with a beautifully delicious roasted flavour.
You'll love every bit of it.

Ingredients

  • Tomato: ½ kg

  • Green Chilli: 1 pc

  • Carrot: 1 pc

  • Onion: 1 pc

  • Ginger: 1 tsp

  • Garlic: 4-5 cloves

  • Oil: 1 tsp

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Sugar: ½ tsp

  • Tomato Ketchup: 1 tbsp

  • Soy Sauce: 1 tsp

  • Water: 1½ cups

  • Seasonings

Preparation

Step 1

Take a baking dish, place roughly cut tomatoes, green chilli, carrot, onion, ginger, garlic, a dash of oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tomato ketchup, soy sauce and water. Give it a quick mix.


Step 2

Place it in a preheated oven at 230C for 1 hour or till you see a roasted/caramelised top.


Step 3

Add herbs of choice, keep aside and let it cool down.


Step 4

Once cooled, blend it, pass through a sieve, top with some cream, serve and enjoy!
